Shakeira Mitchell, LGPC, BSN, RN

Clinician

Shakeira is a Licensed graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), license #LG14164 and a registered nurse with over 22 years of experience in nursing and management. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing, and several other certificates and accolades in nursing and child psychology.

Shakeira is a clinical intern at Lavi Psychotherapy (www.lavimentalhealth.com) where she provides direct mental health assessments and treatment services to a diverse population of adults, couples, teenagers and families, across a full spectrum of mental health disorders under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Francis.

Shakeira has a deep passion for helping people. In performing her duties as a nurse, she began to understand and appreciate the importance of holistic care. She realized that she could help clients on a psychological, emotional and spiritual level as well, having understood that each dimension affects the other. Her ultimate goal as a counselor is to be able to connect with individuals facing life challenges and assist in guiding them back to a path of wholeness and purpose.

Finally, Shakeira has a deep desire to help her community, and therefore, participates in mission trips to various countries where she engages in the care and treatment of the underserved in a holistic manner.

Dr. Mason-Callaway, PsyD

Clinician

Dr. Mason-Callaway is a licensed clinical psychologist. She has worked with youth and young adults in assessment of developmental disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, and oppositional behavior as well as cross-cultural adoption issues and identity development. Additionally, Dr. Mason-Callaway provides therapy for youth and young adults and has experience with bilingual assessment and therapy (i.e., English and Spanish). Her clinical interests include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other neurodevelopmental disorders as well as behavioral concerns in youth.

Dr. Mason-Callaway strives to make therapy a fun and engaging safe haven for clients to explore and process their thoughts and emotions. She has professional expertise in providing cognitive behavioral therapy and tailoring therapy to the unique needs of individual clients. She has also been involved in ministry as a youth group leader for pre-teens/teens and a Kids’ Church teacher for children in grades pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade. Her experience in ministry with youth enriches her professional expertise. Dr. Mason-Callaway’s goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for youth and young adults coping with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and ASD..

Jenny Kennedy, Ed.S

Mental Health Office Manager

Jenny is Lavi's phenomenal Office Manager. Jenny manages all customer correspondence for Lavi, to include coordination of client paperwork submissions, payment collections, billing inquiries, and all administrative requests from clients and staff including external support staff. Jenny enjoys providing high quality customer service to our Lavi clients. She utilizes her expertise and compassion to fulfill client needs and answer client questions. Jenny facilitates Lavi's scheduling helping our clients to navigate the online schedule platform and she assists our Lavi clinicians with rescheduling our current and future client appointments.
